Obituary for Wade Dalton "Bubba" Martin Sr.

Mr. Wade Dalton “Bubba” Martin, 73, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at his home. He was a son of the late Wade and Mary Fullmore Martin.

He became a member of Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Christ at the age of nine under the pastorship of Elder David Williams who taught him the way of the Lord. Wade was born on August 7, 1945 and attended Dade County Schools in Miami, Florida. After leaving school where he was a student in Biology Science and Mathematics. He gave his life and heart to Jesus Christ.

He joined the Air Force, served his country during the Vietnam War, and returned to the United States with the rank of Airman First Class. After serving in the Air Force, Wade lived in San Bernardino,California with his first wife, Ann and their daughter, Gina, for many years, and worked as an all around mill worker at California Portland Cement Factory. He was respected in the community as a friend and mentor to many young men and women. He returned to Miami where he met and married Ollie Mae, they were married for over thirty years before she passed. He worked with his father, Dalton, using his many skills and abilities to further business success. After moving to South Carolina, he met and married, Cynthia Bias.

Wade leaves to commemorate his life, his wife, Cynthia Bias Martin of the home; five daughters, Gina Martin of San Bernardino, CA, Deanna (Wade) Martin-Byrd of Pelzer, SC, Adrianne (Jay) Foster of Miami, Fl, Nikki Davis of Spartanburg, SC, and Nicole Foster of Greenville, SC; three sons, Wade Dalton Martin, Jr. of Key West, FL, Edgar (Robin) Foster and Tyrone (Tiwanna) Foster, both of Sunrise, FL; three stepdaughters, Shekeria (Porcia) Padgett, Celeste Hammonds and Terra Blue, all of Greenville, SC; one stepson, Jeremiah Hammonds of Pelzer, SC; one sister, Lula (Albert) Jackson of Macon, GA; four brothers, George (Ida) Martin and Ray Anthony (Edith) Martin, both of San Bernadino, CA, Michael (Trina) Martin of Atlanta, GA and Jerry ( Denise) Martin of Macon, GA; and a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
