Dr. Wilson was my friend, colleague, mentor, and advisor. I met Feleta in 1975 when we worked together at Wayne County Health Dept. She "took me under her wing" and taught me how to be a good public health nurse. Over the years, we continued to work together and maintained a friendship. Feleta is responsible for my being a nurse educator. She was persistent in encouraging me to teach, and was responsible for my having a position as a faculty member at Wayne State Univ. College of Nursing. She was instrumental in my obtaining my doctorate in nursing and remined my mentor and advisor until she retired. I will never forget Dr. Feleta Wilson and the difference that she made in my and so many other people's lives. I thank God for bringing and keeping us together.

Dear Wilson Family,

I give you my most sincerest condolences. Dr. Wilson was always kind to me, when we interacted in church at Unity Baptist in Detroit. I was so sorry to hear of her passing. I will miss her smile and support. But, she is with the Lord and I'm very happy for her!

Love,
Ebuni Mosley

My condolences to Dr. Wilson's family during this time of mourning. Dr. Wilson's contributions to the health of the public will not be forgotten. She was a wonderful colleague in the Public Health Nursing Section of the America Public Health Association. We were all blessed to have been her colleague. Debra Anderson
