Mrs. Myrtle Geneva Nash, born on April 28, 1949, was the seventh child of the ten children born to the late Nelson Henry and Ella Green Williams. She lived her life as a vibrant sweet spirit who sought to encourage her friends, support her family, and love her children.

She attended Lincoln and Washington High Schools, and worked for many years in the textile industry at Cone Mill and US Finishing. At the time of her passing, she was a stocker at Goodwill Industries in Travelers Rest, South Carolina.

Myrtle faithfully labored in the Lord’s vineyard at Golden Grove Baptist Church as a member of the Trustee Ministry, The Intercessory Prayer Council and tirelessly as a member of the Usher Ministry.

She was preceded in death by a son, Edgar Lavern (Cynthia) Nash; a daughter, Natascha Jeanette (Michael) Cunningham; one sister, Francis Anderson; and a brother, Nelson Williams.

Left to cherish our mama, grandma, sister and friend are two sons, Floyd Lindsey (Sheila) Nash of Charlotte, NC and Jamie Demont (Trudie) Nash of Greenville, SC; a special niece and nephew who loved her dearly, Jeanette Williams and Dewayne Anderson; five sisters, Mamie (Linwood) Johnson, Eula Mae Jackson, both of Atlanta, GA, Henrietta Oxley of Long Island, NY, Pauline Williams of Travelers Rest, SC, and Margaret Williams of Greenville, SC; two brothers, Fletcher Williams of Marietta, SC, and Robert Williams of Greenville, SC; ten grandchildren, Demetrius Nash, Brittany (Derrick) Simpkins, Domeniqik Nash, Alex Nash, Nicholas Nash, Alexus Nash, Floyd Nash, Jr., Jamila Nash, Michael Cunningham, Jr., and Edgar Cunningham; seven great-grandchildren, Akeelah Marie, King Jahmir, Kamoni Natascha, Kade, Siymere, Tacarie and Ti’zerian; and a host of other relatives and friends.
