Mr. James William Tolbert, 73, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at his residence. He was a son of the late Robert Simpson and Louise Tolbert Simpson Oliver.
He was married to the late Evonne Sullivan Tolbert for 37 years.
He is survived by one son raised in the home, Mr. Tyrone Tolbert; one sister, Ms. Priscilla Simpson Blassingame of Simpsonville, SC; one brother, Mr. Ezell (Sandra) Simpson of Greenville, SC; six grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: Sunday, October 9, 2022, 11:00am, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
