Rev. Aaron Curtis Adams, Sr., 74, of 135 Adams Road, passed away on Sunday June 29, 2014 at McCalls Hospice. Born in Marietta SC, he was the son of the late Deacon Starks & Mrs. Alberta Williams Adams.
Reverend Adams leaves to cherish his memories, his wife; daughters, Sophia Lorraine Mangle (Kenny), Stephanie Adams; sons, Reverend Aaron C. Adams, Jr. (Sonji), Fabian Adams; grandchildren, Jobriath, Julius, Jasmine, Decius, Patrice, Avery, Indiya, Elijah, Emmanuel, Jeremiah, Starks, Gianna; sisters, Margaret Kennedy, Lily Robinson (Jimmy); brother, Paul Adams (Loretta); uncle, Deacon Brock Adams; aunts, Ella Mae Mansell, Viola Bowens; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
He was educated in the Greenville County Schools, graduated from Lincoln High School & studied at North Greenville College. He was married to the love of his life, Mrs. Mable Scott Adams, December 24, 1961. To this union, were born four children. He was absent from his body, but present with God, Sunday, June 29, 2014.
Reverend Adams was called into the ministry in 1981. He held the pastorate for 30 years at Ozion Baptist Church, Seneca, SC. Reverend Adams was employed since he was 16 & he retired from Huntington Guerry, after being employed there for approximately 30 years. He was a Free Mason & also the Precinct President in his district.
