Mr. Albert Christopher Owens, 89, of 349 Liberia Road, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Cannon Memorial Hospital. Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Christopher and Lula Mae Owens. He was predeceased by his sister; Alma Owens Bennett: and brother; Furman Owens Cannon.
Left to cherish his memories: daughters; Darlene Owens of Winston-Salem, NC and Kim (Mitchell) Henderson of Greenville: son; Kelly Owens of Spartanburg: sisters; Josephine House and Mable (Charles Davis) Owens Clarke, both of Pickens: brothers; Clifton (Vernell) Owens and Raymond Owens, both of Pickens, and Grover Owens of Boston, MA: and three grandchildren.
Funeral Service: Sunday, May 25, 2014, 3:00 PM at Soapstone Church, Pickens County, with burial in the church cemetery.
