Allen Sims

Mr. Allen Devorn “Deda” Sims was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 17, 2017. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, on March 27, 1954, he was a son of Vera Louris Sims and the late Allen.

Allen joined Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church at an early age and at the time of his death he attended Mount Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church. Allen attended Greenville County public schools and the majority of his working life was in construction.

In addition to his mother, he leaves to cherish very fond memories, his wife of 39 years, Mrs. Pamela S. Sims of the home; two daughters, Nikki (Derrick) Jones of Lyman, SC and Ashley Sims (fiancé, Anthony Gregory) of Greer, SC; four grandsons, Dallen, Drayce and Noah Jones of Lyman, SC, and Quinnton Christie of Spartanburg, SC; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Bennie Lee Sims of Greenville, SC, Eburrel (Janie) Sims of Columbia, SC, and Kenneth (Datrea) Sims of Simpsonville, SC; aunts, Vivian Louris of Greenville, SC, Virginia Goldsmith and Nancy Louris, both of Pontiac, MI; uncle, James (Mamie) Louris of Pontiac, MI and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Louris, and a sister, Dera Sims.
