Mrs. Almeda Elise Taylor was born on April 4, 1940, in Greenville, South Carolina.She was a daughter of the late Emma Taylor-Sullivan and stepfather, Luther Sullivan. She closed the last chapter of her beautiful life on November 7, 2019, at Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care at Harper Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
She was a graduate of Bryson High School and a member of the Order of Eastern Stars, Ruth Chapter #69, since 1977, where she previously served as the Worthy Matron and other positions. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Almeda was preceded in death by her beloved sons, Barry and Sean Taylor; and three siblings, John “Wink”, Gerald and Ronald “JoJo” Sullivan.
Left to celebrate her life are one sister,Lorraine G. “Gwen” (Thomas “Pete”) Akins of Detroit, MI; two brothers, Bobby (Teddy) Donald and Roman (Ella) Sullivan, both of Detroit, MI; one daughter, Evelyn L. Little of Spartanburg, SC; two sons, Anthony Taylor and Silvester Taylor, Sr., both of Greenville, SC; eight grandchildren, Carlos L. Taylor, LaTasha A. Taylor, Darcel S. Taylor, Travis S. Little, Brittany M. Taylor, Silvester V. Taylor, Jr., Sharon A. Taylor and Sean P. Taylor; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
