Althamase Mayes

Mrs. Althamase Williams “Mrs. Iya” Mayes, 85, of 325 Elder Street Extension, Greenville, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Edgar A. and Emma Pinson Williams.

Surviving: daughter, Sandra Mayes (Otis Harris) of Greenville; sons, Edgar (Irish) Mayes of Greenville, James C. (Gwendolyn) Mayes of Powdersville, and Robert (Deborah) Mayes of Mauldin; sister, Emma L. Williams of Greenville; brother, Henry P. Williams of Columbia; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
