Apostle Rosa Belle DuBose, 84, of Liberty, South Carolina, departed this life and went to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Greenville Health System. Born in Abbeville, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Talmadge Carr and Helen Williams.
Apostle received her diploma at the A.C.T.S. High School in Abbeville, and obtained a degree in Theology from Martin Webb Learning Center in Greenville.
She worked for the Pickens County School District and retired from Liberty High School.
She was a former member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Liberty. While there she served on the Women Missionary Society and was a member of the Senior Choir. In April of 1988, she founded Shekinah Temple Evangelical Ministries.
Apostle DuBose was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leo DuBose, Sr; three sons, Ricky Leon DuBose, Stanley Marcus DuBose and Robert Leo DuBose, Jr.; two daughters, Helen Delores DuBose and Precious Marie DuBose; one sister, Mamie Carr and three brothers, Jessie Carr, Talmadge Carr and James Carr.
Fond memories will be treasured by a daughter, Pastor Angel M. Bash of Liberty; sons, David Franklin DuBose of Easley, Calvin Eugene DuBose of Liberty, and Steven Anthony (Cathy) DuBose of Lawrenceville, GA; sisters, Alta Lee of Queens, NY and Daisy Mae (Norman) Thompson of Greenwood; brother, David (Carol) Carr of Queens, NY; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
