Mr. Arthur James “Snoop Dog” Wilson, Jr., 64, of Columbia, South Carolina, departed this life on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at his home. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, he was a son of the late Arthur James Wilson, Sr., and Georgia Lawson Wilson.
He was a retired U.S. Army Veteran of twenty-two years. He also retired from the Veteran Administration after ten years of service.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shunta’ M. Wilson.
Left with many fond memories are his wife, Evelyn Brown Wilson of the home; daughters, Tonya L. Wilson of the home and Adrian J. Wilson of Columbia; sisters, Cheryl (Curvie) Bryant and Delphine (Rev.Curtis) Wilson of Birmingham, AL and Carolyn Young of New Jersey; brothers, Ricky (Melba) Wilson, Robert Lee Wilson, Ronnie Wilson, and Lawrence (Yolanda) Black, all of Birmingham, AL; cousins reared in the home, Eric Lawson of Flint, MI and Edward (Myra) Lawson of Stone Mountain, GA; four grandchildren, Tahyaha Wilson, Kymera Wilson, Adrien Wilson, and Acheron J. Wilson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
