Ms. Barbara Jean Carter Stokely, 79, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Prisma Health, Greenville Memorial Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Stella Katherine Carter and the late John Calhoun.
Surviving: two daughters, Ruby Carter of Brooklyn, NY and Tangie Carter of Greenville, SC; three sons, John Carter of Brooklyn, NY, Bruce (Debbie) Carter and Tyrone Carter, both of Greenville, SC; one sister, Minnie Carter Major of Greenville, SC; one brother, Joshua (Dr. Leslie) Davis of Dallas, TX; twenty-five grandchildren; forty-five great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Saturday, March 18, 2023, 1:00pm, at Watkins, Garrett and Woods Mortuary with interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
