Bennie Phelps

Mr. Bennie Phelps, 78, of 19 Earnhardt Street, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at his home. Born in Laurens County, he was the son of the late Luther and Emma Pasley Phelps. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Ann Ligon Phelps.

Surviving: son, Marion “Dinky” Phelps; daughters, Patricia (Leslie) Williams, Carol (Erwin) Pendergrass, Janet Phelps Bolden, all of Greenville, Tabatha (Keith) Dye, and Semone (Deron) McGowen, both of Taylors; sister, Mary Adams of Harrisburg, PA; brothers, Raymond (Peggy) Phelps and Johnny Phelps, both of Greenville; uncle, John Hawkins; aunts, Felicia Elliot, Martha Jean Phelps and Sadie Phelps; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service: Saturday, February 28, 2015, 2:00 PM at Bruton Temple Baptist Church, 300 Old Paris Mountain Road, with burial in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
