Mr. Bennie L. Smith, 71, passed away on Saturday July 10, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. He was the son of the late James and Ruth Cheatham Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Smith of Greenville, SC; three daughters, Sabrina (Cecil) Sitton of Greenville, SC, Rachel Brantley of Anderson, SC and Felicia Smith of Greenville, SC; two sons, Lamont Smith and Stacy Smith of Greenville, SC; four sisters, Lois Anderson of Greenville, SC, Margaret (Gene) Miller of Fountain Inn, SC, Wilma (Claude) Lee of Fountain Inn, SC, and Patricia (Matthew) Milam of Simpsonville, SC; three brothers, Charles (Corrine) Smith of Greenville, SC, James (Teretha) Smith of Simpsonville, SC and Eddie (Ann) Smith of Fountain Inn, SC; a companion, Mary Duckett of the home; thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside Service: Sunday, July 18, 2021, 3:00 pm, at Old Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery.
