Bernadette Paden

Mrs. Bernadette “BB” Paden, 71, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at McCall Hospice House. Born in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Paden and Willie Mae McKinney Paden Legrand.

“BB” was a graduate of Bryson High School. She was a former model and actress for Barbizon in New York. After returning to Greenville, she worked for Meals on Wheels and the Salvation Army. Most of her life she was self supportive.

She was a member of Flat Rock Missionary Baptist Church, where she was on the choir, the ensemble and usher board .

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jimmie Adams.

Left to cherish fond memories are a daughter, Evangeline Paden of Greenville; one brother, Willie Thomas (Rebecca) Paden of Greer; five grandchildren, Latoya Paden of West Palm Beach, FL, Nakeya Paden, Latika Paden, Tony Monfort and Joel Monfort, all of Greenville; twenty-two great-
grandchildren; seven great-great-grand-children; three aunts, Blance (Samuel) Stephens, Willie Mae Paden and Ruby Lewers; first cousins, Robert and Stella Hodge, Robert and Claudette McKinney, Henry and Barbara McKinney and Glenn and Bobbie Sue Durham and a host of other relatives and friends.
