Bernice Harris Crosby

Mrs. Bernice Harris Crosby, 80, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Tuesday, August 28,2018. She was a daughter of the late Nathaniel Harris, Sr., and Gertrude Young Harris.

She was a retiree of Metropolitan Life and United Healthcare, she was also a Cosmetologist. She was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, where she participated in many auxiliaries such as the Sunshine Club, Church Choir, Praise Team, Usher Board and Church Secretary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Crosby, Sr.

Left to cherish fonds memories are two daughters, Sandra (Kenneth) Washington of Hope Mills, NC, and Cheryl Crosby of Greer, SC; one son, Samuel Crosby, II of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Lola (EL) Norris and Birdie (OD) Williams, both of Greenville, SC; two brothers, Nathaniel Harris, Jr., and George C. Harris, both of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren, Tyler Rhodes, Jermesha (Jamie) Shepard, Lacacia (Travis) Cooley and Samuel Crosby, III; one great-grandchild David Shepard; special caregivers, Tisha Griffin and Paz Banister; and a host of other relatives and friends.
