Ms. Bessie Mae Smith, 91, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at NHC in Mauldin, South Carolina. She was born in Lincolnton, Georgia, the daughter of the late Son Waldon Smith and Elizabeth Dooley Smith.
She was a high school graduate and previously worked as a housekeeper. She was a member of Victory Temple Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, George F. Smith.
Surviving: one daughter, Romella (Walter) Hunt of Greenville, SC; one son, James (Claudia) Smith of Mauldin, SC; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
