Mrs. Betty Lee Terry "Betty Boo" Benson, 52, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. She was a daughter of the late Harold Koon and the late Shirley Ann Terry Thompson.
Mrs. Benson was the wife of Duncan Benson, Sr. for 18 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her stepfather, Willie Thompson; three daughters, Shateka (Rotoshia) Terry-Wakefield of Greer, SC, Dumbareka Benson of Greenville, SC and Shaniqua Simuel of Asheville, NC; three sons, Thadeus Terry and Duncan Benson, Jr., both of Greenville, SC and Desmond Whitmire of Asheville, NC; five sisters, Ann Blassingame, Tina (Willie) Sitton, Antoinette (Michael) Glenn, all of Greenville, SC, Annette (Kevin) Simmons, and Pamela (Leon) MacKelvene, both of Asheville, NC; four brothers, Ricky (Danita) Terry of Washington, DC, Harold Hallums of Greenville, SC, Anthony Boseman of Asheville, NC, and Brandon Resper of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Sunday, February 26, 2023, 11:30am, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
