Betty Mayfield

Mrs. Betty D. Mayfield. 71, of 102 Beechwood Avenue, passed on Saturday, November 21, 2015, at St. Francis Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Charles Johnson and Cornelius Leatherwood Downs. She was a former employee of INDEXX Printing Co.

She is survived by her husband, Joe L. Mayfield of the home; daughters, Darlene C. (Ricky) Hagood of Columbia, SC, Brenda H. Mayfield, Tonettie Mayfield, Hattie T. Mayfield, Betty Jo Sullivan, Tiffany C. (Laprell) Wilson, all of Greenville, SC; son, Joeph F. (LaFonya) Mayfield of Ft. Stewart, GA; niece raised in the home, Ola “Weezie” Mayfield of Greenville, SC; sisters, Mary H. Wright of Manhattan, NY, Frances M. Brown of Brooklyn, NY, Debra E. Downs of Piedmont, SC and Dinah L. Downs of Greenville, SC; brothers, Joe L. Downs and Barry L. Downs, both of Greenville, SC and Charles T. Downs of Pelzer, SC; twelve grandchildren;six great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
