Betty Owens

Dr. Betty Elrod Owens, 74, of 23 Ellesmere Drive, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 at home. Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Ruth McCrary Elrod, Sr. She was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Dean.

Surviving: son, Al (Wilma Gomez) Owens of Greenville; sisters, Mildred (Joe) Glenn and Connie (Emmanuel) McCarroll, both of Greenville; brothers, Leroy (Mary) Elrod, Jr. of Easley and Jeffrey (Yvette) Elrod of Piedmont; brother-in-law, Michael Dean of Connecticut; grandchildren, Dominique Nykole Owens, Nigel Ruael Owens, and Samadi-jace Owens, all of Greenville.

Visitation: Friday, March 20, 2015, 1:30-2:00 PM, at Sweet Canaan Baptist Church, 316 Mountain Springs Road, Piedmont.

Funeral Service: Friday, March 20, 2015, 2:00 PM, at Sweet Canaan Baptist Church, with private burial.
