Mrs. Betty Ruth Goldsmith, 63, of 319 Potomac Avenue, Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at her home.
She was a member of the Mount Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she served as a Youth and Adult Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Pastor’s Aide Club.
She was preceded in death by her biological father, Robert Jackson and grandparents, Ruth Ellison, Julia Jackson, and Sumpter and Annie Nelson
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are her parents, Roosevelt and Bettye Ellison Nelson of Greenville; one son, Kenneth A. Goldsmith of Greenville; five sisters, Carolyn E. Williams, Brenda A. Lee and Eunice E. Johnson, all of Greenville, Linda E. (Roosevelt) Boozer of Abbeville and Carolyn (Rev. Ronald) Peterson of Piedmont; one brother, Lawrence M. (Stephanie) Ellison of Columbia; six grandchildren, Brittney, Emily, Courtney, Kaitlyn, Kylie and Josiah Goldsmith; aunt, Betty (Raymond) McKinley of Goose Creek, SC; goddaughter, Jackie Brockman; a special friend, Thomas Dogan of Greenville and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
