Bishop Tommy Eugene Skelton aka Manuel L. Skeleton, Jr., 87, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Monday, April 6, 2020, at his home. He was the son of the late Manuel L. Skelton, Sr., and Macy Bell Mansell Skelton.
Before his retirement he was a Security Guard and Crossing Guard for the Greenville County School System.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wilhelmena Jenkins Skelton; one sister, Pearlina Skelton McCauley; and five brothers, David Skelton, Nathaniel Skelton, Arfelton Skelton, Leroy Skelton and Manuel Skelton.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are two daughters, Apostle Rena (Bishop Johnny) Anderson of Easley and Leeann Jackson of Simpsonville; two sons, Derrick Elkins of Charlotte, NC, and Jerome Jenkins of Piedmont; one sister, Mary Helen Davis of Charlotte, NC; a special niece, Rev. Erica (Rev. James) Goldsmith of Greenville; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
