Mr. Bobby Gene Whitner, 77, of Easley, South Carolina, husband to Doris Pickens Whitner, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023, at his residence. Born in Anderson County, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Leroy and Sebell Jones Whitner.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Jackie (Maurice) Lloyd of Honea Path, SC; five sons, Bobby D. Whitner of Pelzer, SC, Travis Whitner of Williamston, SC, Aaron (Shaka) Whitner of Mauldin, SC, Timothy Mansell of Easley, SC and Cedrick (Serena) Mansell of Asheville, NC; one sister, Johnnie Mae (Barney) Hampton of Greenville, SC; two brothers, Samuel L. Whitner of Mauldin, SC and Thomas Whitner of Williamston, SC; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Sunday, December 3, 2023, 1:00pm, at New Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, with interment in M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery, on Thursday, December 7, 2023, 2:00pm, Anderson, SC.
