Ms. Candace Anita Rapley, 33, of Pelzer, South Carolina, passed on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at her home peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born in Abbeville, South Carolina, she was the daughter of Carl and Annie Napoleon Rapley.
She was educated in the Greenville County School System. She was a member of the Southside High School Speech and Debate Team where she competed in poetry. She later attended Woodmont High School and served in the Job Corps for one year.
Candace was a member of St. Mary AME Church in McCormick, South Carolina. She was formerly employed as a caretaker at Bishop Gadsen Retirement and Assisted Living Facility in James Island, South Carolina.
Surviving, in addition to her parents: one son, Jacari Rapley of the home; god sister, Harriet Shaw of Greenville; two brothers, Darius F. Rapley of Greenville and Carnealas R. (Brandy) Rapley of Fort Wainwright, AK; maternal grandparents, Lewis and Juanita Napoleon of Abbeville; paternal grandmother, Mamie Pinson of Abbeville; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
