Mr. Carlos Jermaine Pruitt entered his eternal resting place on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at the age of 49, at Novant Health Medical Center, Matthews, NC. He was born on April 6, 1973, in Greenwood, SC and grew up in Ware Shoals, SC, where he enjoyed spending time with his grandparents and family siblings.
This relationship taught him the importance of working hard to achieve his personal goals.
Carlos attended Belton-Honea Path High School before transferring to Greer High School his senior year and graduated in 1991. Through hard work and dedication to his athletic desires, he became a star athlete in track and football. He attended North Carolina State University on an athletic football scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 1996. Carlos later received his Master of Business Administration degree from Pfeiffer University in 2003. And in 2007, He was inducted into the Greer High School Hall of Fame for all his athletic and academic achievements.
Carlos worked over 15 years as a Commercial and Business banker and continued to apply the same hard work ethic throughout his career. He also encouraged his children to apply the same work ethic to their pursuits. Carlos was married to his wife Loretta Rogers-Pruitt for over 17 years and was the father to Taylor Berry and Sean Pruitt.
In addition to Loretta, Taylor and Sean, Carlos is survived by his mother, Diane Smith (Franklin) and his father, Avery Pruitt (Doris). As well as one sister, Rashieka Moore (Allen) and five brothers, Jarrett Dixon (Tera)Ezekiel and Matthew Smith, Sentell Pruitt (Althea), and Derik Pruitt. And a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
