Carolyn Wakefield

Ms. Carolyn Cenita “Tweetie Bird” Wakefield, 54, of Piedmont, South Carolina, departed this life on January 10, 2019, at her home. She was a daughter of Claudia Hopper and the late Joseph Wakefield.

Carolyn was a high school graduate and worked at Home Goods.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Eugene Parks.

Surviving are her mother, Claudia (Earl) Hopper of the home; one son, Michael (Neicy) Burgess of Sarasota, FL; husband, Cecil Burgess; one sister, Debra Wakefield of Piedmont, SC; three brothers, Joseph Wakefield of Boston, MA, and Charles Wakefield and Willie Wakefield, both of Greenville, SC; one aunt, Essie (Reginald) Johnson of Piedmont, SC; and a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
