Mrs. Carrie Lou Dirton Smith, 100, of 303 Miller Road, Apartment 1403, Mauldin, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at home. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Emiziah and Lula Evans Dirton, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Smith.

Surviving: daughters, Evelyn (Willie) Carson, Fannie (Johnny) Butler, Carrie Louise Gray, Olivia (Glenn) McGee; sons, Willie (Juanita) Smith and Larry Dirton Smith, all of Greenville; sister-in-law, Callie Mae Dirton; devoted friends, Georgia Carson, Louise Eubanks, Sue Morton, Johnnie Mae Gray, Maggie Carter, and Mr. Otis, twenty grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren, seventeen great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Service: Saturday, April 4, 2015, 2:00 PM at Long Branch Baptist Church, 28 Bolt Street, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
