Carroll Pitts

Ms. Carroll Ann “Cat” Pitts, was born April 21, 1945, to the late John Calvin and Mary Etta Bibbs Pitts. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, she was the eldest of four children. She departed this life on Sunday, December 15, 2019, at her home.

Carroll was a graduate of Sterling High School Class of 1963 and a retired employee of Bell Atlantic in New York City, where she was a Telephone Supervisor. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, where she was a dedicated member of the Usher Board.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother,Gerald R. Pitts.

Carroll leaves to cherish many fond memories of her a daughter, Nadiyah Pitts of the home; two brothers, John Calvin (Betty) Pitts II, of Bethlehem, PA, and Edward E. (Vanessa) Pitts of Greenville, SC; one grandson, D.J. Blassingame, Jr., of the home that she poured out her heart and soul into; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
