GRAVESIDE SERVICE
Ms. Cassandra “San” Johnson, 63 of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this earthly life on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at her home. She was a daughter of the late Clyde Douglas Johnson and Miriam Azalee Parker Johnson.
Cassandra received a high school diploma from Berea High School where she participated in a lot of extracurricular activities. She was in the Drama Club, Art Club and was also a Cheerleader.
Cassandra was part of OJ’s Diner from the very beginning. She held several positions within the company. She took such pride working within the family business.
She joined Long Branch Baptist Church in 2009 and was baptized in 2012.
Cassandra will most be remembered for her love for family. Family meant everything to her and in her healthier years, she would always find a reason to throw a party. She loved to dance and do “the robot”. She was an awesome cook and could stretch a meal so that anyone and everyone who came to her house had something to eat. She will also be remembered for her strength. She fought a long battle, 8 years dealing with stage 4 metastatic cancer among other diagnosis. Never once did she complain or ask why me. She encouraged so many people. She prayed for and with others. She used her talents to show her family and friends she loved them. Most of all she loved the Lord and was always eager to tell anyone that would listen.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Thelma Johnson, Diane Ferrell, Georgia Johnson and Lonita Johnson; and one brother, Terrell Johnson.
She leaves to cherish fond memories; two daughters, Latonya Johnson and Letorra Johnson, both of Greenville, SC; three sons, Ice berg Johnson, Julius Johnson and Jermaine Johnson, all of Greenville, SC; one sister, Vonderlene Johnson of Greenville, SC; one brother, Olin Johnson of Greenville, SC; thirteen grand-children; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A special thank you to Jonnie Griffin, Minister Golden and Wanda Wilson. You guys put your personal lives aside to assist, love and care for mom. There are no words that could express our gratitude.
