Mr. Charles J. “Chuck” Baxter, 85, of Greenville, departed this life on Friday, July 30, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. He was the son of Henry and Mary Sherman Baxter.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Baxter; two daughters, Hurfretta Johnson of Moreno Valley, CA, and Charlesetta (Alonzo) Samuel of Anderson, SC; one son, Dennis H. Baxter of Denver, CO; two brothers, Lonnie M. Baxter of Mauldin, SC, and Donnie C. (Tequila) Baxter of Abbeville, SC; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
