Charles Drummond

Mr. Charles Anthony “Mongoose” Drummond, 63, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Monday, September 25, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. He was born in Greenville, a son of the late Robert and Sarah Reid Drummond.

He was educated in the Greenville County School System and was a retired truck driver from Truck Air Company.


He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Lee Drummond; a sister, Hazel Drummond Walker; and four brothers, John, Leroy, Freddie and James Wallace Drummond.

Left with many fond and loving memories are his wife, Linda Lindsey Drummond of Greenville; two daughters, Leslie (Uriah) Anderson of Taylors and Candle Drummond of Greenville; two sons, Tori McKinney of Taylors, and Lorenzo Harris of Greenville; five sisters, Judy Drummond, Mary D. Mansell, and Betty D. (CW) Wood, all of Greenville, Bobby D. Bonaparte of Bronx, NY and Lucille D. Miller of Taylors; four brothers, Robert (Ernestine) and Ben (Shirley), both of Greenville, Edward (Dorothy) Drummond of Simpsonville and George (Rachel) Drummond of Westminster; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
