Charles Jones

Mr. Charles Henry “Charlie Rock” Jones of Greenville, passed on August 30, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. He was a son of the late Agnes Williams Jones. He was raised in the home of his uncle and aunt, the late Furman and Ruby Hill.

Charlie Rock attended Enoree Baptist Church when he was a child. He attended Eastside High School and later entered into the Job Corps Program. He worked many odd jobs, but his last job was at Pete's on Augusta Road.

He leaves to cherish many memories, his companion for over ten years, Plumer Cooley of Greenville; two sisters, Ruby Nell Jones of Greenville and Ruthie Durham of Taylors; stepdaughter, Sylvia Cooley (Robert Stovall) of Taylors; four step- grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
