Charles Kennedy

Mr. Charles Douglas Kennedy passed away peacefully on Monday, March 25, 2024, in Conyers, Georgia.  Charles was born October 4, 1936, in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Zollie Kennedy and Mae Etta Barber Kennedy.

He attended the public schools of Greenville County.   Charles’ work ethic was always stellar, and he worked for many years at Hewitt Coleman, until his subsequent retirement.  He looked forward to going to work every day.

During his leisure, he enjoyed card games with his school buddies and was an avid fisherman, having participated in Bass Fishing Competitions.  Charles loved the Lord and transferred his membership to Long Branch Baptist Church and attended as long as his health permitted.

Charles leaves to cherish ford memories his only sibling, his sister, Bobbie K. Sanford; his nephews, Porter Sanford, IV, Brandon K. (Agatha) Sanford; great nephews, Porter Sanford, V., Hason Kennedy Sanford, Christopher Blake Sanford; great nieces; Skyler Hadyn Sanford, and Emma Stokes; long standing beloved friend, Jeanette Richardson and her family and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at Watkins, Garrett, Woods Mortuary on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 11:00am with interment in Greenville Memorial Gardens
