Mr. Charles A. Mayes, 59, of 218 Potomac Avenue, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at McCall Hospice House, Simpsonville. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Willie and Carrie Shell Mayes, Sr.
Surviving: wife, Nina Mayes of the home; son, Justin Barnes of Greenville; daughters, India (Dion) Young of Greenville and Bracken Mayes of Raleigh, NC; stepson, Vincent (Tiffany) Williams of Spartanburg; sister, Lora Mayes of Greenville; brother, Willie Mayes, Jr. of Greenville; grandchildren, Kamal Barnes, Romello Barnes, Nakia Young, Jamel Young, Kayla Young, Jayden Young, Ava Young and Kristopher West.
Funeral Services: Wednesday, January 14, 2015, 12:00 noon at Watkins, Garrett and Woods Mortuary, with burial in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
