Charles Reddick

June 1, 1964 — July 12, 2020

Charles Anthony Reddick was born to the late Bettye Jean Reddick on June 1, 1964. Bettye Jean Reddick passed when Charles and his sister (the late Chanda E. Reddick) were very small children. They were lovingly raised by their great aunt, the late Annie Sue Turpin, affectionately known to all as Ms. Sue or Aunt Sue.

Charles was affectionately known as “Chuck” during younger years in Chicago and was later known as “Chicago” to others after he left the city of Chicago. He was baptized and confessed Christ at an early age. Most recently, he was a valued member of Holden Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where he served behind the scenes of the IT team, under the leadership of Pastor Antwion Yowe.

As a young adult, Charles moved to Cordele, GA, where he enjoyed working on cars and spending time with family and friends. Charles was a very giving person and he always had a smile for everyone. After his time spent in Cordele, GA he moved on to South Carolina where he most recently resided and spent time enjoying life and working on cars with his best friend/nephew, Antwion Yowe.

Charles was called home on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at 9:05pm ET. Charles had one sister, Chandra E. Reddick, and one nephew, Louis L. Reddick, who preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter, Kelly (Gregory) Paulk-Emmons; three nephews, Jonathan Reddick, Eugene Reddick, and Shaun Reddick; one great-niece; many great-nephews; and a host of family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Charles’ name to the Holden Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2260 Old Furnace Rd. Boiling Springs, SC 29316 are appreciated.
