Mr. Charles Whitner, 83, of Mauldin, South Carolina, passed on Friday, November 25, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. Born in Oconee County, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Oscar and Lila Harrison Whitner.
Mr. Whitner was married to Dorothy Rice Whitner for 40 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five daughters, Jessica (Nathaniel) Richardson of Goose Creek, SC, Frederica Whitner, Iris Whitner Aiken, Dawn Gladney and Nicole Dubose, all of Greenville, SC; two sons, Charles Jabari Whitner of Mauldin, SC and Ryan Byers of Greenville, SC; one sister, Louise (Angelo) Okuma of Springs, TX; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Saturday, December 3, 2022, 1:00pm at Watkins, Garrett and Woods Mortuary with interment in Pinedale Memorial Park.
