Chimene Linell Mitchell was born on June 13, 1970, in Waterbury,Connecticut. Her parents, Barbara Fowler Mitchell and Rufus Joseph Mitchell had received the blessing of a beautiful baby girl. Having spent her early years in Connecticut, Chimene retained her Waterbury identity.
Relocating to her mother’s hometown of Greenville, during her middle school years, Chimene attended Greenville County schools. Chimene attended Eastside and Southside High Schools, graduating from Southside. During this period, Chimene worshiped at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with relatives and friends.
Chimene found her spiritual contentment and serenity with Water of Life Church. She and her children became members as she recognized that Water of Life was the place for them.
Chimene’s chosen career was customer service, of which Verizon and Gannett were memorable. Her most recent employment was Concentrix where she truly enjoyed and appreciated the flexibility given her and the many co-workers who befriended her. During her spare time, Chimene enjoyed experimenting with culinary creations.
Chimene’s father and grandparents predeceased her. In addition to her mother, Barbara, she is survived by a son, Chyrese Joseph Mitchell; and two daughters, Jalasya Cyierra Davis and Jhadai Carrington Davis.
Our dear Chimene leaves behind several cousins, who remained in contact over the years, and came to her side praying for a recovery. She also leaves aunts, uncles, other relatives, co-workers and her church family. All who knew her will miss her ready smile and giving nature
