Mr. Christopher Michael “Chris” Rodrigues, 31, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Tuesday, June 26, 2018.
“Chris” was a 2004 graduate of Mauldin High School, and attended Berea College and the University of South Carolina Upstate.
Christopher gave his life to the Lord at an early age. He rededicated his life to Christ and was baptized at NewSpring Church. He was employed by Magna Drive.
He exemplified his abilities on and off the field. He played baseball, football, basketball, the clarinet and was an excellent cook with a healthy appetite. He was an avid skateboarder and snowboarder and was exceptional in this art. He also excelled academically. Chris enjoyed the outdoors and had a natural inclination for sciences, especially his fascination with animals.
He enjoyed fishing with his father, brothers, cousins, and grandfather. He had a servant’s heart and was a hard worker. Christopher could always be counted upon to lend a helping hand with a hearty laugh and the biggest smile ever!
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Stella Best Nichols and paternal grandparents, Hester and Frank Rodrigues.
Left with many treasured memories are his parents, Chester Morris and Gail Nichols Rodrigues of Mauldin, SC; two sisters, Nicole Marie Rodrigues and Alexis Melissa Rodrigues, both of Greenville, SC; two brothers, his twin, Chester Morris Rodrigues, III, of Chapin, SC, and Alex Matthew Rodrigues of Norfolk, VA; aunts, Esther (John) Splaine of Cambridge, MA, Mayetta (Russell) Brown of Pueblo, CO, Linda (Lonnie) Gomes of Indianapolis, IN, Karen (Simon) Guteng of Jessup, MD, Deborah Carrington, Sarah Rodrigues and Vanessa White, all of Dorchester, MA, Cora (Leroy) Brown and Theresa (David) Hurst of Mattapan, MA, and Benita Rodrigues of Brockton, MA; uncles, Joseph (Lorna) Nichols, Jr. of Dorchester, MA, John (Tammy) Nichols of Hauula, HI, Paul (Pamela) Nichols of Seattle, WA, Robert (Ann) Nichols and Kevin (Sandra) Nichols, both of Boston, MA, Glen (Sylvia) Nichols of Haverhill, MA, and Bruce Rodrigues of Boston, MA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
