Clarence Dawkins

Mr. Clarence Dawkins, 89, of 14 Alvin Drive, passed on Monday, September 21, 2015 at McCall’s Hospice House in Simpsonville. Born in Laurens County, he was the son of the late L. H. and Annie Williams Dawkins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Mae Evans Dawkins.

He is survived by daughters, Bernette (Melvin) Byrd of Piedmont, Shirley (Jonathan) Vernon of Greenville, and Sandra (John) Wright of Lititz, PA; sons, Bernard (Deborah) Dawkins of Mauldin and Clarence (Yvonne) Dawkins, Jr., Stanley Dawkins, and Kevin Nelson, all of Greenville; brothers, Roy Lee Dawkins and James Calvin Dawkins, both of Greenville; twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service: Sunday, September 27, 2015, 4:30 PM at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with private burial.
