Claude Williams

Mr. Claude W. “Choochie” Williams the son of the late Mrs. Sue Pearl Williams Booker and the late Mr. Claude Williams and raised by the late Mr. Robert Booker. He was born in Greenville County on January 18, 1945, and departed his life on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at his home.

“Choochie” was a graduate of Sterling High School Class Of “64”, he furthered his education at Federal City College and Howard University where he obtained a masters degree in Business Administration.

Claude lived in Washington, D.C for forty years and served as the Director of Health and Safety at Howard University for thirty years. He served in the US Air Force.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Ms. Juanita Burnside and Mrs. Betty Jean Hutchinson and two brothers, Mr. John Olin Butler and Mr. James Walter Butler.

Left to cherish fond memories are his wife, Desideria Williams of the home; one daughter, Danita Sullivan of Greenville, SC; two sons, Claude (Marjorie) Booker of Greenville, SC and Devin A. Donnard of Philadelphia, PA; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a host of nephews, cousins and friends.
