Mr. Clifton MacArthur “Mac” McKinney, 75, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at his home. He was a son of Evangelist Ruby L. Agnew McKinney and the late Will Tom McKinney.
“Mac”, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was a 1961 graduate of Sterling High School. At an early age, he became a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was self-employed and the owner of Mac Janitorial Services.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn McKinney; a son, Clifton MacArthur McKinney, Jr.; his brother, John Wesley “JW” McKinney; his maternal grand-mother, Mrs. Clarkie Sullivan Agnew; brothers-in-law, Waddell Williams and Odell Gamble; and sisters-in-law, Odessa McElrath, Vinnie Mae Williams, and Connie Lee Neal.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are his mother, Evangelist Ruby McKinney, of Greenville; four daughters, Wanda (Kenneth) Gallup of Holden, MO, Brenda Rouse of Lawrenceville, GA, Joyce (Roy) Petty, Sr., of Mauldin and Victoria (Horace) Albert of Simpsonville; one son, Michael (Rosalind) McKinney of Greenville; half-brothers, Steven (Pamela) McKinney, Sr., of Williamston, SC and William (Alfreda) McKinney of Greenville; half-sisters, Norma Darlene Locke, Laura Joyce Rice and Vanessa E. McKinney, all of Greenville, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
