Mr. Clyde Marshall “CJ” Jamison, son of the late Irene Jamison, departed this life on October 2, 2016, at McCall’s Hospice House in Simpsonville, South Carolina. He was born on January 17, 1942, in Pickens County.
He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina, where he served faithfully as a member of the Trustee Board until his health declined. He loved sports, fishing and he was known throughout the community as a good friend, neighbor and businessman.
He graduated from Clearview High School in Easley, South Carolina and later attended Limestone College in Gaffney, South Carolina, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in management. He was a veteran of the United States Army and he received an honorable discharge. After 23 years of service at Duke Energy, he retired as the Credit Manager. He was the owner of Jamison’s Carpet Cleaning.
Left to cherish his memories are a loving wife of 54 years: Margaret Jamison of the home; two daughters, Melissa Jamison and Evelyn Jamison, both of Greenville; two brothers, Eugene (Helen) Jamison of Brevard, North Carolina and Mitchell (Carole) Jamison of Orlando, Florida; two sisters, Elizabeth Morton of Detroit, Michigan and Fannie Jamison of Easley, South Carolina; a sister-in-law, Loree Hightower of Pickens, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Selena Mitchell and Steadman Rice, both of Greenville, South Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Addison and Adam; a wonderful nephew, Harold Hightower; two nieces, Kymberly Jamison and Sharon Simms; a nephew, Elijah Morton and a host of other relatives and friends.
