Connie Grove Griffin

Mrs. Connie Grove Griffin, 78, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at her home. She was a daughter of the late Walter and Angie Bowens Grove.
She retired from the Greenville Hospital System after 19 years and worked 13 years for the Greenville County School District at Lakeview Middle School.
She was a member of Shoals Creek Baptist Church where she participated in the Senior Citizens’ Club and the Senior Missionary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Griffin; a twin brother, Tony Grove; and two sisters, Mattie Booker and Mary Ann Dodd.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are her daughters, Betty Downs (Charles) and Judy Greer, both of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren, Ronald (Doris) Downs, Rena Cohen, Alex Downs and Charlecia (Jeremy) Moss; seventeen great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; a special cousin, Tammy Jackson; a special friend, Sewell Beasley; and a host of other relatives and friends.
