Mrs. Cora L. Gaines, 73, of Pelzer, South Carolina, wife of Wilton Gaines for 54 years, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. She was a daughter of the late John Lewis and Catherine Young Croft.
Surviving, in addition to her husband: three daughters, Sheila Gaines of Simpsonville, SC, Kemico (Nicholas) Griffin of Greenville, SC and Tawanda (Cornell) Jones of Fountain Inn, SC; two sisters, Mary Dennis of Mauldin, SC and Doris Posley of Greenville, SC; two brothers, Joe (Margie) Croft of Spartanburg, SC and Robert (Diane) Croft of Mauldin, SC; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Service: Saturday, November 4, 2023, 1:00pm, at New Forksville Baptist Church, with interment in the church cemetery.
