Cora Jones

Mrs. Cora Sue “Jenny” Jones, 78, of Liberty, South Carolina, departed this life on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at her home. Born in Pickens, South Carolina,, she was a daughter of the late Leroy and Nellie Ruth Sitton.

She was a 1960 graduate of Clearview High School in Easley, South Carolina, and a member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Williamston, South Carolina.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed attending gospel singings. She enjoyed dancing and had a very unique laugh that made everyone smile.

“Jenny” was preceded in death by her parents; a devoted and loving husband, Johnny A. Jones; a brother, Troy M. Sitton and a sister, Talmadge C. Sitton.

Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are one son, Scott Walter Jones, of Greenville; a special person in her life whom she loved as a daughter-in-law, Wanda McMahan of Greenville; two sisters, Annie Lee Tutt of Greenville, and Lillian (Fred D.) Allen of Easley; four brothers, Paul D. (Lucille) Sitton, of Greenville, Roy A. (Katherine) Sitton and Keith N. (Vanessa) Sitton, all of Easley; one grandson, Scottie Latrell (Katrina) Jones of Simpsonville; four-great-grandchildren, Daquan (Hailey) Jones, Amiya Jones, Skyler Jones and Kamden Jones; one sister-in-law, Juanita Sitton of Greenville; her best friend, Ellen Young ; her caregiver, Roxie Breeze; and a host of other relatives and friends.
