Mrs. Cynthia Mae Carson Ferguson, 82, of Taylors, South Carolina, passed on Tuesday,
January 11, 2022, at her residence. She was a daughter of the late John Henry, Sr., and Edith Ballenger Carson and the widow of the late Deacon Lee Calvin “L.C.” Ferguson.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Tasha Ferguson, and two brothers, Booker Carson and John Carson.
Mrs. Ferguson earned an Associate Degree in Bookkeeping at Friendship Junior College in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and was employed by the Greenville County School District. She was a member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a Deaconess and in the Missionary Ministry.
Survivors: one daughter, Vivian Ferguson of Taylors, SC; four sons, Lee (Evelyn) Ferguson of Charleston, SC, Mike (D’Juana) Ferguson of Columbia, SC, Phil (DeAnna) Ferguson of Des Moines, IA, and Bo (Joi) Ferguson of Travelers Rest, SC; two sisters, Dorothy King of Taylors, SC, and Molly (Red) Kearney of Fayetteville, NC; two brothers, Richard B. (Geraldine) Carson of Greer, SC, and Timothy (Sharron) Carson of Taylors, SC; one sister-in-law, Aleyne Carson of Taylors, SC; fifteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends
