David Young

Mr. David Tyrone “Boo” Young, Sr., 49, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, passed on Friday, April 19, 2019, at Prisma Health. He was a son of Diane Williams Young and the late Edward Young, Jr.

He was a graduate of Greenville High School, Class of 1988, and also a graduate of Clemson University. He was employed at Sealed Air Corporation.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Young, Jr.; a brother, Edward Young, III; a sister, Veronica Williams; his grandmother, Dorothy Williams; grandfather, Edward Young, Sr.; and a nephew, Lamonze Williams.

Left to cherish many fond and loving memories, along with his mother, are three daughters, Mikala Choice of Greenville, J’Adore Young of Mauldin, and Kiara Young of Greenville; five sons, J’Davien Young of Mauldin, David Young, Jr., of Piedmont, Hakeem Hicks of Atlanta, Ga, Major Rashad Webb of Texas, and Kameron Young of Greenville; a special love of his life, Shannon Owens; two sisters, Sonya (Charles) McCullough of Columbia, and Tracy (Bernard) Smith of Simpsonville; one brother, Ron Young of Simpsonville; his grandmother, Faye Young of Greenville; three grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
