Deacon Eugene Berry

Deacon Eugene Berry, 92, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at home. He was a son of the late Lewis and Jessie Sullivan Berry.
Deacon Berry retired from Ross Lumber Company after thirty years and GBS Lumber Company after twenty-five years.
He was a member of Reedy Fork Missionary Baptist Church, where he served on the Board of Deacons and sang in the Male Choir.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Jessie Berry; three sisters, Robbie McIntosh, Anna Mae Berry and Elvenna Berry; four brothers, Wilton “Ray” Berry, Willie Berry, Preston Berry and Henry Berry.
Left to treasure many fond memories are his wife, Annie Shell Berry of the home; one daughter, Shirley Berry (Leroy) Butler of Greenville, SC; two sons, Eddie Eugene (Teresa) Berry of Philadelphia, PA and Horace Allen (Cheryl) of Taylors, SC; sister, Jessie Lee (Bishop Casper) Cohens of Greenville, SC; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; twenty great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grand-child; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
