Deacon Furman Hallums

Deacon Furman Franklin Hallums, 85, of 223 Redwood Drive, passed on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Greenville Health System. He was a son of the late Frank Williams and Magdalene Williams Hallums.

He was a former driver for Senior Unlimited before retirement and was a veteran
of the US Army. Furman was a faithful and dedicated member of Greater True Light F.B. H. Church. Deacon Hallums was a skillful musician as well.

He leaves to remember and cherish many fond memories, his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Ware Hallums of the home; two daughters, Evelyn Butler and Debra Valentine, both of Greenville, SC; three sisters, Gwendolyn (Virgil) Griffin of Manchester, CT, Frances (Earl) Beamon of Dacula, GA and Ruth Tutt of Simpsonville, SC; two brothers, Benjamin Hallums of Hartford, CT and Andrew B. (Alice) Hallums of Bloomfield, CT; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
