Deacon William “Sonny” Armstrong, Jr., 67, of 201 Willimon Drive, Piedmont, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 in Anderson County.
He was the son of the late William Armstrong, Sr. and Estelle Armstrong. He was a retired truck driver from the City of Easley.
He is survived by: his wife, Cora Oliver Armstrong of the home; Kimberly Baker, Jackie (Michael) Johnson, Michelle Mayes and Christie Ligon, all of Greenville, SC; sons, William (Felicia) Baker of Greenville, SC, Christopher (Demeka) Mayes of Mauldin, SC, Johnny Mayes of Charlotte, NC, Michael Mayes, Anthony Baker and Edmond Mayes, all of Greenville, SC; sisters, Paulette and Marie Blakely, both of Greenville, SC; brothers, Steve, Jimmy and Billy Blakely, all of Greenville, SC; a host of grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
He was the son of the late William Armstrong, Sr. and Estelle Armstrong. He was a retired truck driver from the City of Easley.
